Valley Children’s Healthcare is a nonprofit, state-of-the-art children’s hospital on a 50-acre campus with a medical staff of more than 550 physicians. In California, we treat more inpatient cases than any pediatric hospital north of San Diego. With 358 licensed beds, Valley Children’s Hospital is one of the largest hospitals of its type in the nation. We are the first children’s hospital west of the Rockies to receive Magnet Nursing designation, the highest nursing benchmark in the world, and we are one of fewer than 10 pediatric intensive care units in the nation to have received the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence. We are also accredited by the Joint Commission. We perform more than 12,000 pediatric surgeries a year and our pediatric and neonatal intensive care units have some of the lowest mortality rates in the country while treating some of the sickest kids. Our Cancer Center is a member of the nationally-recognized Children’s Oncology Group, and sees more than 120 new cases a year. Our Willson Heart Center has pioneered pediatric heart care for over 50 years.
Children are our sole purpose and focus. To provide the exceptional care they deserve, Valley Children’s requires the means and flexibility to apply donated funds to the greatest need. Through the unrestricted gifts of generous donors, The Children’s Fund makes possible the commitment to diverse services and programs such as:
-Providing the most advanced technology
-Recruiting the best pediatric specialists
-Improving care and services for our most complex patients
-Developing the best pediatric specialty programs in the nation
Your gift to The Children’s Fund will give Valley Children’s leaders the flexibility to allocate vital resources when and where they are needed most, enabling us to provide first-rate, lifesaving care for our children when nothing but the best will do.
