Steve took a leap of faith in 1995 and jumped into the mortgage industry. With an education in the sciences and mathematics, he quickly adapted to the intricacies of mortgages. Soon companies caught on to his talents, leading to a net branch after only 2 years in the industry, followed by development roles for origination as well as branch management. In 2012, he took a couple of steps back to focus on my children and other life changes and step back into an originator’s role.

Steve is enthusiastic about coaching others to succeed. His dedication and excitement for educating and coaching Loan Officers to assist their borrowers achieve the dream of homeownership is his passion at Big Valley Mortgage. “I am a forensic thinker and am always diving deep into topics to educate and guide those I work with.” Steve is equally enthusiastic and dedicated to the relationships our Loan Officers have with our Strategic Partnerships and thrives to ensure our relationships serve both our Broker partners and the Loan Officers who serve them.

Steve received a second chance at love and married my high school sweetheart. We love to travel and have been to several states, such as Minnesota, Nebraska, Texas, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona, to visit family. We also love vacationing in places like Maui and Costa Rica.
