Kristy Ruhkala has been helping clients obtain mortgage loans since 2002 and has created her business exclusively by referrals and repeat business. By educating clients through the process, setting expectations, giving regular updates, and continued communication, she has brought clients a better understanding of the loan process and helps customers achieve positive results. From first-time home-buyers, move-up buyers, investors, or refinancing, she enjoys helping solve needs, improving client’s situations, and building lasting relationships.
Her family roots start in Rocklin CA with the Ruhkala family. The Ruhkala’s have been prominent contributors to the local community for over 120 years. From her Finnish heritage and large family, she has learned to have high expectations, integrity, and the will to succeed. Her family says she has “sissu”, which is a Finnish term that translates as “strength of will, determination, perseverance” that she uses to help her clients through sometimes challenging conditions.
Raising three sons with her husband, Chris Tagert, he is an eighth-grade history teacher at Eich Middle School and is also the East Coast trip advisor. The family is involved in multiple sports activities and loves the outdoors.
As a mortgage consultant, she will take the time to discuss loan options that meet the client’s needs so they can move forward in confidence. Aspiring to make the loan process smooth and as stress-free as possible, she works for the client to meet and beat their expectations.
Kristy has the ability to reach out to people and make a difference because she cares; her aim is to leave clients with a positive experience and help them reach their goals now and in the future.
